I.  ORGANIZATIONS AND WEBSITES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CONSERVATIVE MOVEMENT

Conservative Judaism. Org                                                                                                                                       The Conservative movement might be a big tent, but even such a structure needs one main entrance. Now we have one.  The movement's new website is a gate into the movement. Smaller gateways lead to the various organizations and groups that make up its larger whole.

The United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism
USCJ promotes the role of the synagogue in Jewish life in order to motivate Conservative Jews to perform mitzvot encompassing ethical behavior, spirituality, Judaic learning, and ritual observance.  This web site provides access to a great variety of resources for individuals and synagogues.

Jewish Theological Seminary
JTS is the intellectual and religious center of Conservative Judaism.  It educates Jewish professionals and lay leadership in the spirit of Conservative Judaism for the total community through academic and religious programs, both formal and informal.

The Rabbinical Assembly
The Rabbinical Assembly, first established in 1901 by graduates of the rabbinical school of the Jewish Theological Seminary, is the international association of Conservative/Masorti rabbis. Today its ranks include rabbis ordained at the seminaries of the Conservative/Masorti movement as well as rabbis of other accredited rabbinical schools who accept the tenets of Conservative Judaism. The mandate of the Rabbinical Assembly is to kindle the passion of the Jewish People in the service of God, Torah and Klal Yisrael, to strengthen the Conservative/Masorti movement, and to support the Conservative/Masorti rabbi.

Supporting the umbrella of Conservative congregations and institutions in Israel with an energetic program of information and fund raising.

United Synagogue Youth                                                                                                                                              The Department of Youth Activities of the United Synagogue of Conservative Judaism inspires Jewish youth to explore, celebrate and practice ethical values, Zionism and community responsibility based on the ideology of the Conservative Movement.

Koach                                                                                                                                                                       Koach provides college-age students the opportunity to maintain and develop connections to Conservative Judaism.  It seeks to nurture a love of Torah, the Jewish people, Israel and God though a variety of activities including social, religious, cultural and social action programs. 

Women's League for Conservative Judaism                                                                                                          WLCJ is the largest synagogue based women's organization in the world. As an active arm of the Conservative/Masorti Movement, it provides services to 600 affiliated women's groups in synagogues across North America.

Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs
The Federation of Jewish Men's Clubs is an organization of approximately 270 Conservative/Masorti Jewish men's groups consisting of 25,000 individuals across North America and the world.  Its objectives are to train and develop leaders to build and strengthen Men's Clubs; to create and implement programs to involve men in Jewish life; and to be an active and influential participant in the Conservative/Masorti Movement.

Mercaz                                                                                                                                                                    Mercaz USA is the Zionist organization of the Conservative Movement, representing Conservative Judaism within the World Zionist Organization and the Jewish Agency for Israel.

Rabbi Morris Goodblatt Academy
The Rabbi Morris Goodblatt Academy is a 30-week "Introduction to Judaism" course sponsored by the Philadelphia Region of the Rabbinical Assembly. A new course begins in September and January of each year. The course is designed for Jews and non-Jews, singles and couples to learn more about Judaism (history, language, culture). Interested students have the opportunity to convert to Judaism under Conservative auspices following successful completion of the course.

Perelman Jewish Day School
Raymond and Ruth Perelman Jewish Day School (PJDS), a Solomon Schechter Affiliate school, educates students from Kindergarten through grade eight on three campuses in the Philadelphia metropolitan area. It provides a dual curriculum that integrates Jewish and General studies. The goal of PJDS is to instill in its students a pride in and commitment to both Jewish and American values.

The Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center                                                                                                                       The Philadelphia Jewish Archives Center was established in 1972, as a joint project of the Philadelphia Chapter of American Jewish Committee and the Jewish Federation of Greater Philadelphia. Its mission is to collect, preserve, and organize the records of the Greater Philadelphia Jewish community and make them available to scholars, students, researchers, and the general public.

Gratz College                                                                                                                                                             Gratz College, the first transdenominational Jewish college in the United States, has been teaching Jewish studies and training Jewish professionals for more than a century. Jewish Exponent
