::Daily Minyanim
Our congregation supports a minyan, evening and morning, every day of the year.

The minyanim are coordinated by our shamash Irving Schnall, who also serves as Gabbai.

Daily Minyanim

We are extremely proud of our daily minyanim, both morning and evening.  We do a complete service with a full repetition of the Shacharit Amidah time permitting.  Although we are a small congregation, we almost always have a minyan (We've been short fewer than 15 times in the past year and never on a Torah reading day or when someone is saying Kaddish).  On those rare occasions when we are short and there's someone is saying kaddish, we use our Minyan On-Call list to recruit more people.  To be added to our the Minyan On-Call list, contact David Raizen.

In our daily minyanim, we include the recitation of Tachanun after the Amidah except on the various days on the calendar when it is skipped. To learn when to skip Tachanun, try an original learning tool, the Tachanun Skipping Song.

Morning Minyan

Our morning minyan begins at 7:00 AM, Monday through Friday and 9:00 AM on Sundays.  The service usually ends by 7:35 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and by 7:45 on Mondays and Thursday.  On days in which we daven Hallel and Musaf  the service may extend until 7:55.  On Tuesday and Wednesdays we have a light breakfast in the Library consisting of bagels and coffee.  Many congregants bring breakfast treats when they have a Yartzeit.

Evening Minyan

Our evening minyan begins as 7:30 pm.  Group meetings and social events in the shul are generally scheduled to begin after evening minyan.

Service leaders

The shaliach tzibur or prayer leader varies every day.  On a typical morning, one person leads off with Birchot Hashachar and Psukei D'zimra and a different person takes over at the beginning of Shacharit. We encourage congregants who are saying Kaddish to lead service if capable.  Those wishing to learn to daven should speak to our shamash Irving Schnall.
