INCLEMENT WEATHER Our KYW school closing number is #499 in Delaware County. If Haverford Schools are closed (#455),Suburban Jewish Community Center - Bnai Aaron will automatically be closed. Please don’t call the school or the synagogue office, since we may be snowed in and at home. The decision to close school due to inclement weather will be made based on our faculty and students abilities to get to school safely. I will also send an email notice out to families. Junior Congregation is tricky as we cannot communicate via electronic methods on Shabbat. In the event of inclement weather, junior congregation will be cancelled. This means icy road conditions or steady snow fall with accumulation. Since I do not live in the neighborhood, it may not be as easy for me to get to shul as those who live close by. I apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. Have a safe and warm Shabbat! --------------------------------------------------------- Welcome to SJCC Bnai Aaron, a traditional egalitarian Conservative congregation located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia. We are a welcoming spiritual community of Conservative Jews from various backgrounds and with varying levels of observance. In our congregation, we strive to combine a commitment to innovation with respect for Jewish law. Our synagogue offers multiple entry points for members. We are a Place of Gathering (Beyt Knesset), a Place of Study (Beyt Midrash) and a Place of Prayer (Beyt T'fillah). We offer vibrant family-friendly religious services, including Carlebach Kabbalat Shabbat, Munchkins & Mishpacha (M&M's), and Learners' Minyan. Our commitment to lifelong Jewish learning is evident in our vibrant and extensive adult education program and our innovative "Open Hebrew School" featuring individualized learning centers, and PACT (Parents and Children Together) Jewish family education sessions, which provide opportunities for parents of students in the Hebrew School and Perelman Jewish Day School to learn with their children. We love to have a good time at our Sisterhood & Men's Club events and we take pride in caring for each other and for those in need. We encourage you to read about our synagogue community's history, leadership, and vision. SJCC Bnai Aaron is located in the western suburbs of Philadelphia, and is easily accessible from City Line Avenue (U.S. 1), I-76 and I-476. We are within walking distance of Wynnewood, Ardmore and downtown Havertown, and within a short drive of a number of Delaware County and Main Line communities, including, Bryn Mawr, Haverford, Merion, Bala Cynwyd, Broomall, Villanova, Wayne and Newtown Square. Follow this link to Mapquest for directions and a map. The members of SJCC Bnai Aaron welcome you and your family, wherever you are in your faith journey.
